A man has a barrel that weighs 20 kilograms. The man then put something in the barrel, and it weighed less than 20 kilograms. What did he put in the barrel?

I would say he put helium in the barrel. Helium weighs less than air so by putting helium in the barrel the overall weight would decrease.

Well it may not be the answer you had in mind but it would make the barrell lighter so i was right but its not what you had in mind.

I think he put an activated bomb or grenade in the barrel and blew the bottom out, causing the barrel to weigh less. :)
