Every year on Thanksgiving, families gather around the table to enjoy a meal and give thanks, but what about the other 364 days of the year? Sadly the world is full of ungrateful people. What is it that makes people ungrateful?

Many people go through life believing that the world owes them everything. It is the same people who seldom thing of others and seldom, if ever, do acts of random kindness. It is sad, because they miss out on a lot. People should live every day like it is a gift, because in many ways it is.

Excellent reply! Greed is a fat troll and no matter how much you feed him, it is never enough.

It's also sad that people only seem to believe in "Peace and Goodwill to all men" around Yuletide. I try to make a point of counting my blessings everyday. "I don't always feel lucky, but I'm smart enough to try." - Ani DiFranco - 'Grand Canyon'

It is about much more than counting your blessings. It is about doing good for others and not wanting anything in return.
