As women what is it that has made us so insecure about our looks? Sense when is beauty defined by the size of our breast or our behind? I think media and society plays an import role in the way a woman looks at herself. The media sets unrealistic standards. The pressure put on women to look good is sickening. What are your thoughts?

I agree. Popular cultural appeal has gone out of control. It seem girls dont fell pretty unless ribs are showing and they are bean poles with melons attached. I personally am not a big boob guy, nor do i like super skinny girls.
Its this generilzation put out that your not pretty unless your balemic or what ever. Whats with the 1/4 thick coats of makeup too?
The world has become so wrapped up in self image and lost all value in the things that actaully matter anymore. Its a stricly physical, lustfull world now adays.

Maybe I’m being melodramatic, but its media’s image of the female body that has made me feel insecure. In today’s society plus size and full figured women are constantly classified as unattractive. According to marketing executives beauty is anything below a size five. Maybe I’m exaggerating, but it just feels that society definition of beauty is based only on physical appearance. Look for my next topic .......What makes a woman beautiful?

i dont think beauty should be based in physical appearance beauty has more deaper meaning...real beauty is seen within..we should not get affected by the things around us putting pressure on us...God made us in His likeness...knowing that its a beautiful thing. what makes you really beautiful is you soul
