being here for 8 months, i have came across with different people, different attitudes and different styles of each member.
have you noticed that there are those before who are mostly spammers? they were all around mylot and i admit, i hate spammers a lot. and whenever i get responses from them just posting "yes" or "no", "i don't know", "yes, i do" and other such short lines or phrases, i really get annoyed.
but now, little by little, those spammers are far gone. maybe they have learned after some time of being here. some have improved (if so, that's nice). or maybe some brought along their "spamming" styles to another forum site.
i feel a lot happier now. there are lots of healthier discussions here in mylot. i just enjoy reading, responding and even adding some comments.
how about you? do you feel the same way, too and finally feel the positive changes around with people? or you still find lots of spammers around?

with all the improvements that mylot has made I think that people finally noticed that spamming was getting them nowhere and has moved on to those forums that let spamming go on and are getting a little pay for it, but I have noticed that these forums are shutting down and people are coming back and actually putting forth some effort to make some money on here. They have realized mylot is one of the better community forums that does actually pay decent.

Actually after your emntioning it I have just realised the same thing..The cheaters and arch spammers are appearing less and less on Mylot, being replaced by extremely intelligent and artistic persons just like myself lol..(joke!).
Generally speaking I find the majority of Mylotters friendly, resourceful, interesting, each in their own line of thinking and very kind. Whenever I have needed some support in a moment of weakness my Mylot frineds are there always. I also hope to be able to contribute to Mylot the best I am able to now and in the future. Let's all make Mylot THE best place to be.

I also have noticed that we don't see spamers more now a days like we did months ago. I think they have learned their lesson. They now know the consequences of spaming here in Mylot. I am happy to notice the disappearing of the spamers.
We can see lots of positve changes in the members and also in their discussions. When I joind in the last week of December, I can remember seeing mosts of discussions like pepsi or coke or what is your favorite this and that. Now We come across a lot of thoughtfull discussion.
Actually they only survived here who take posting on Mylot little seriously. SO, we can see a lot of good discussions and responses now.

Yes I have noticed less spammers. There was also a time when we were flooded with cheaters with nothing od their profiles except that they all seemed to be from India.

There are stil a few, butI think that once they realized they weren't making any money from those responses they left. However, what bothers me the most is the people who give a negative report to your answers if they don't like them. You know the ones I mean, thesanctimoneous ones who give you a (-) just because you dare disagree with their quetions.

There definitely has been a lot of changes on myLot since the time I first started here. When I first started I kept seeing all these ridiculous topics and short answers but it is not as bad as it used to be though there are still a lot of spammers and people stealing others comments and using them as their own. I definitely feel though overall there has been a big improvement here. I am much happier now with the discussions and comments that are made. We still need to keep our eyes out.

I have joined mylot about 9 months back...But i started using it regularly only a month back...
At first i was also a kind of spammer...I dont know why..
I am not that good in english..At that time i was aware of english..But i never got a chance to use it this...
That made me not to able to express what i feel in mind...
Which also gave me a star rating of two in the beginning ,But now i have changed myself a lot..I now have developed my language and i now can express what is in my mind...
Now i also hate that spamming but not that spammers because i think they will change eventually...
Mylot has helped me very much....Thanks to my fellow mylotians....

I think they realised that it will not get them any money since people just keep reporting them and they have moved on to other places =)
I also think that the discussions are better now than it was just a few months ago, there are not as many rubish ones =)

When I was still a new member, I guess a week member I really posted a discussion about having a hard time finding quality discussion but when I started roaming around and responding to good discussion and invite some credible members and turn notify on,from then on I shortened my time to find a good discussion because I am too lucky to have good circle of friends who started quality discussion and and was really sure that it will not be deleted in the future.
I guess some spammers really have no space in this forum for there are lots of intellectual member here who hate them lol!! they have no recourse than to go away ha!ha!ha!
I really enjoy every moment here specially with some good friends discussion because I can really relate and freely share my views and opinion.

I haven't been here nearly as long as you but it seems to be a bit of a mixed bag. Lately there have been lots of heated discussions, which can be funny to a point, but after that it becomes very stale. There are also some evry good discussions, sometimes they are hard to find though! Then there are still those gibberish discussions, you can't get away from them completely it seems, butMylot seems to be doing pretty well to get rid of them. Or maybe they are just being reported?

May be you are right. I am new here, and haven't come across spammers yet. That shows that their numbers have decreased. I guess this happens here because we have a democratic way of eliminating them by rating them negative. I have never had to rate anyone a minus yet, bacause I got good responses, though few in number, for all the discussions I have started.Let us hope the present situation here continues!

Even though I've just started and am extremely new, this point you're bringing up is one I've noticed as well. There have been discussions started about say, for example, if people keep a blog. I've seen one word responses and wondered what the heck these people are doing on here. There was an entire discussion like this and scrolling through really frustrated me. Particularly when I really try to think of an appropriate response and, when I can't, I move on to another topic.

I think it's because more and more people are posting up more "discussion/serious reply" worthy post. I'm sure there are still spammers here. But they are outnumbered by people who come here to discuss, post worthy articles and topics.

I've noticed it too but I thought it was just my attitude that changed. I'm not so miserable now.lol. But the past few weeks have been great. Yes, there have been a few duplicate discussions but nothing really bad. I only reported one person this week. We just can't let our guard down. We need to keep this place clean. I like it this way and I hope it stays this nice.

I still see lots of spammers, as well as cheaters. I think they have just gotten to know more and they are harder to find. They are still here and they are plentiful. I know a few are even posting in more than one account. I try to report all I see but it takes lots of time nd I barely have enough as it is!

i have noticed it also but the only ones remaining are those people who kept on answering discussions and telling us "sorry, i do not have the answer..." just for the heck of posting and immatures who can't seem to understand what open mindedness means and copy/pasters!in general, the environment in mylot is getting cleaner, i am doing also my cleaning by deleting some friends on my friends lists.

Spammers tend to be generally lazy. Very probably they have noticed after spending some time here that spam does not pay and I guess most of them moved out elsewhere. That is the benefit of having a system that rewards quality posts. I am also happy to see them gone.

Yeah I noticed that and I give honest members credit for that. And Mylot itself let that happen. Those spammers realized that there's more to Mylot than just earning cents. The topics are for real and most of them we can relate to. And gaining friendship from all around the world is an added bonus.

Since I am still a month on myLot, I could say that I really enjoy my time reading some quality discussions and enjoy posting new ones.Actually I haven't met those spammers that you've mentioned and I really hate them too.Hope I wouldn't find like them.
