When all three of these options are before you which would you rather do? Are you a fitness guru do you walk most of the time. Are you too impatient to take the elevator?

In my previous workplace, the staff did not have access to elevators or escalators. We had to use the stairs. They were about 40 to 45 steps till we could reach our department. So if I go on it slowly it will take about 4 to 5 minutess to get there. Where as if i was in a hurry, it will take me about 2 minutes. But I like walking anyway. It keeps me fit.

When I am by myself I just walk. But when I have my daughter and the stroller sometimes I have no choices but to take the elevator.

It all depends on my mood and how upbeat I am feeling. Most of the time I prefer to take the stairs just so I can get a little exercise in.

It depends. My fitness instructor told me that it's healthier if I would just take the stairs in the mall, instead of taking the escalator. I like walking in the mall or any other place, even along the streets (as long as it's not raining). Elevators are a different thing. I would take the elevators whenever I'm in a tall building, like in an office complex or a hotel. Otherwise, I would just take the stairs or walk which is a good form of exercise. Happy myLotting!

Of the three options, I prefer the escalator. Of course, how many floors one is going makes a huge difference. If it's only one floor, I'll take the stairs or the escalator, but not the elevator. One-floor jumps in elevators aren't fun! I hate the flip-floppy thing it does to my stomach.

Any of the three would do, but I find it easier to use the escalator when I have to go up three floors. I'm claustrophobic, so I am not comfortable with closed spaces like in the case of an elevator. If both have a long queue of people, I would most likely take the stairs if it's only a floor or two.

I take the elevator because I usually have my son with me and I don't want a 1 1/2 year old going down stairs unless necessary. One time I got out of the elevator and some teenagers called me lazy, just wait till they have kids!

I know!! it is not lugging kids around as it is, not to mention trying to use the stairs. That's almost impossible if the kid is not walking

Escalator...hehehe.. I am not as fit as i am used to be... hahaha... But elevator..hmm... if no choice then i will use that. Only if escalator is not available. I had encounter some experience involve the elevator. many times at Uni... with the old elevator. It did stop at the right floor and the door manage to open (thanx God!!) but we have to climb to get out of the elevator!!!! And while i was training at the hospital, we were asked to go to the ward to visit the patients, but it end up we were trapped in the elevator. Thanx God it was only not longer than 5 minutes. :(

Basically I would choose between the elevator or the escalator whichever is closest and more accessible to me. I have no problem with walking, I walk and do it most of the time, thats where I get my exercise everyday. :-) Impatient on elevator, sometimes I do specially in elevators that are really slow and I'm in a hurry.

I prefer taking the stairs to get an exercise except when I'm carrying a heavy thing or I'm with my kids.

Of the three my last choice is the elevator. I hate them! I am a bit claustrophobic and fear being stuck on an elevator. Now of course if it is 10 stories and my arms are full, I will ride the elevator, but for a floor or two, I will do the stairs!

I like to walk, but after a long hard day .... I might just favor an escalator or elevator. Oh, I can't stand people who get on the escalator then want to walk up & get mad at you if you don't move fast enough. That's a trip to me LMAO, because the should have took the steps, the escalators are for people who really don't want to walk:-)

if these three choices are present, i would take the escalator. the escalator would not be as tiring as walking and would not take that long to wait for like the elevator. so, i guess i would take the escalator any time.. i also love "bumping" into someone on escalators.. when i'm going up and they'r going down, and i would see someone i know! it's really cute for me!

I like the escalator, you can ride it part way and walk the rest. I don't like enclosed spaces like elevators. Do you ever get in an elevator and size up the other occupants and wonder what would happen if the elevator jambed between floors. Who would be the hero, who would panic and who would just cry?
