my former boss is who i admire. she was so much fun to work with. she was 65 and so young at heart. we joked around all day yelling insults to each other from our office's. she was so funny. she was retiring and going back to college. she also was a runner. she ran in quite a few marathons. i only wish i could be that outgoing and strong when i'm 65.

I know that this will sound corny at first, but I really admire my mother. When she was 19 she married a poor Dutch immigrant farmer. Not long after they were married Dad decided that he felt called to be a preacher,so they packed up and went to Bible School. They litterally lived on potatoes. While they were there they had two children, me and my sister, and after three years went to a small church in PEI. For years my Mom was able to stretch a dollar as far as it could go. She had one more baby, planted, weeded gardens, raised foster children, learned to play piano for the church, helped Dad with his ministry and so much more. She raised three children who have never been in more trouble than an unplanned pregnancy ( the first Grandchild who is the apple of Mom's eye). I could probably write a book about my mother. Things are better for them now financially, although they are now in a small church in Geysborough county, NS. I forgot to mention that my mother has done all this with migraines so bad that they can last for 2 wks straight. I love my mother and admire her with all my heart.
