We did a whistle stop tour with our two children one summer day and this is a poem about it. LONDON Hustle and bustle and off we go London to see so don't be slow Nip and dash, jostle and push At last, the queue - we cease to rush I-n-c-h-i-n-g f-o-r-w-a-r-d w-i-t-h t-h-e t-h-r-o-n-g There's so much to see we mustn't be long Tower bridge, London Eye People like ants scurrying by Tower of London - where are the heads? St. Paul's Cathedral for Royal newly-weds. Big Ben and Parliament where Guy Fawkes plot Threatened to bring down the whole stately lot Trafalgar sqaure with the column of Nelson Pigeons all year but New Year bedlam Buckingham Palace - flag raised or not The guards are changing raining or hot Picadilly Circus, shopping in the Strand Please could we have a few minutes to just stand? Ah! Regent's Park; boats on the lake; Picnic on the grass - the rest can wait Take the underground to see a show? My feet are killing me, let's just go! Which sights did you manage to see?

I have been going to London every year from as far back as I can remember. My wife's best friend is living in London so we try to visit her at least a couple of times during the year. When first we started visiting, we visited all the regular sites like Buckingham Palace, The Tower of London, Madame Tussauds, Big Ben and of course Harrod's. I don't go sightseeing now as my wife and her friend spend most of the time shopping and visiting markets and car boot sales.

Do they like the big toy shop, Hamleys? Or just clothes and fashion.

Yes, I've been to London. The main reason was because most of my relatives on my Dad's side of my family live in London. The biggest thing about my visit was that I arrived in London the day of Prince Charles and Lady Diana's wedding. I don't remember all the sites that I saw but I think that my favorite was Madame Tussauds. There was also a place I went that had an exhibit about Sri Lanka. That was beautiful.

That was a special day but must have made travelling across London difficult.
