Do you think people should be made to park their cars in multi storey car parks when shopping in the inner city areas. Should there only be public transport in these areas What do you think about car pooling and people using more public transport?

You sound like an enthusiastic environmentalist to me. I think they should be banned to. Thank you for your comments.

i reckon you should park your car wherever they allow it :) I guess it depends on where you live though & what the traffic is like. I live in SA, Australia & there's really not a whole lot of people here so the traffic in the city isn't so bad. As for more people using public transport - i'm all for it but out where i live, there is NO public transport, i have no choice but to drive to the city (if i go which i dont do very often). I can catch trains if i drive half way to the city but they're just not safe - i would much rather drive myself (i have a thing about other people driving).

But surely people catch public transport all the time (where its available). Commuting to and from work and school. I recently found that my car had to be off the road for some time,so I used public transport. I also preferred to drive myself, but wanting to do my bit for reducing pollution etc. I continue to use public transport and find that not only was I feeling better through excersice, but I had been missing so much of living. There are some interesting people who use public transport. I used to be a bit concerned but its not as scarey as you might think. Give it a try you will be surprised.
