I'm still on a high from it! It is TOTALLY AWESOME! Both the movies were great as well as the fake movie premiers! I'm surprised I haven't heard more people talking about it! It was very good!

Grindhouse was awesome, I'm sorry that it's tanking so badly in the box office. I saw the first showing of it on friday and was really pumped. Both movies are great, but I think that Rodrigues's Planet Terror was the better of the two. The best part was the fake trailors, "thanksgiving" was brilliant. Machete was pretty good too and they are thinking about making that into a real movie. I did an audio movie review of grindhouse on my website and if you want to listen to it you can hear it at http://www.freefilmreviews.com/ If you like Tarantino movies, old retro flicks or Rodriguez movies you should definetly go see it as soon as possible, just be warned that its nearly 3 and a half hours long so prepare your bladder accordingly.

Apparently Rodriguez had the script for Machete sitting around a long time as a feature he wanted to do starring Danny Trejo(sp?). So when he needed to do a trailor for grindhouse he pulled the script and got Danny to do it. If there is enough interest in and the fans want it, Rodriguez said he will make the picture. "Thanksgiving" was really good too, I agree that those two were the best "fake" trailers. :)

This is probably the best movie I have ever seen. Honestly. They were sooooo funny. Planet Terror was better in my opinion, but the ending of Deathproof was hilarious. I highly recommend seeing this movie(s).

so glad to hear someone liked it. it has been getting not so great reviews. of course there are a lot of movies that i love that didn't do so well commercially, so i'm not so worried about it.

Grindhouse is a piece of cinematic brilliance--campy, bloody, funny, and bold. The fact that this film is given to the mass audience and not some backdoor independent film shack is a daring step into the realm of anything-goes film-making. This is the best piece of screen art I've seen in a long while. The fact that it hasn't done well in the box office is a bit sad, but to be expected--material like this is seldom appreciated by the masses. I plan to see this baby again, snacking on Dots while zombies pop their lovely boils.

I saw it Tues. night, I would spend another $8 to see again, and I am flat broke. I absolutley loved it. When two awesome directors try to make a movie that is a little cheesy it results in a great movie. I am a huge fan of both Quentin and Robert so I knew I would love it, but even if you are not check it out. If you go bring money for lots of snacks(it is over 3 hours long), a sense off humor and an appreciation for campy b movies doesnt hurt either, and try not to miss the fake trailers they are a riot.
