considered to be old fashioned and divorce is the most likely way a marriage ends. Why do some women get upset when they come across guys who consider marriage to be old fashioned and do away with it, staying with a girl only as long as they want to ?

i am for and against divorce. i am against divorce because it gives the couple the leniency to go on with the marriage and if they feel it would not work out , they know there is a way out and the chances of both working it out is out of the picture. i am for divorce only when it is the ultimate solution to a very bad marital relationship e.g.battered wif or husband, violent insanity that may endanger the lives of of the immediate relatives and other heinious activity between spouses.i still believe in marriage for life. it is a matter of a life long choice and sticking with the committment with the beloved partner.yes, we all have differences and we have to respect each others points of view and i believe that we should work it out till the end of our loving journey.

I don't think staying married forever is old fashioned at all - marriage (should you choose to get married) is supposed to be forever no matter what generation you're from. The problem these days seems to be that people are always in too much of a hurry to get married - which ends up in divorce coz they weren't together long enough before hand to really know whether it could work out or not. If you rush in to marriage then there's always a chance of divorce - you need to know the person you wish to marry well enough to know you can handle all the problems that could arise.

You are right, this is the way it has become now. People get married for lust, not love. People also get married for what they can get, not for what they can give. The Bible says that in the last days people will be refusing to marry. It is really sad to me, especially when there are kids involved.
