..... is this really true? If we responed to one's discussions, or replied back to responses they give to our discussions have a great affect to our ratings and posts? .. Somebody clear this up, please? So confused. . . I'm the type who always responds to responses really.

Are you talking about the star rating or the number next to your name? The star number is affected by what others think of your posts. They can rate you negative or positive and that will make your star go up and down. Now for the number next to your name.... that is how many points you have. The only thing to make it go down is if your post was deleted for some reason. And it could have been a discussion you replied to. From what I understand, you will not get a point for responding to others comments on your post, but people do it out of courtesy. I know that mylot does not want us to just say thanks for your reply or something like that. They don't mind if you have something to say. But either way, I don't think you will lose points for your comments, unless the discussion itself gets deleted. Does this help?

Hello anjoks :)
It's a good thing to reply on responses to your discussions or commenting on replies to your responses to a friends discussion , etc.
Mylot just says we shouldn't do that just to say "thank you" or a similar short note, we should only reply when we have something to say and to create a "conversation" that was a discussion supposed to be.
It can help raising your star rate up as people will rate you + more when they see that you read and care for what they say but it will not increase your points rate (the number next to your ID) mylot only credit us once for responding to a discussion and multiple posts/comments are not credited with points (but it may still raise your earnings a bit).
but for sure it would not decrease our points rate and can only decrease star rate if people feel it's like spam like when someone comments on all posts with one copy and paste comment.
