Last i heard hillary Clinton was gearing up for a campaign for presidency. American citizens, is America ready for a female leader? Foriegn countries, is it time for America to be lead by a woman, what would you think? I personally think this is not the time for it, not that im sexist, but America currently is involved with hostile nations who dont view women as equals, to put one in office would appear to them as weakness, a weaker America, i feel it would only insight more bold conflict, possibly on our own soil. Whats your views???

I don't think America is ready for a female president. I don't think so because we have never had one before. Also I don't think it's time because of never having a female president it would not be smart to elect one during a war, that could lead to bad things.

Yep, my main reason for opposing her in this issue. I am all for equal rights, but that doesnt go for every country in the world especially the ones we currently have issues with. So eqaul rights aside, a woman in office would only insight trouble from outside our borders.

It doesnt matter the gender of a leader. As long as they know what they are doing thats what counts. there is no reason why a woman cant do a great job as a leader. Go Hillary!!!

I agree again, eqaul rights, and the freedom we fight so hard for. But would it be a good idea in a world standpoint for a woman to take office especially during this tense times in the middle east. I guess election day we will see whats up and see what follows in her possible holding of office.

I would be very interested to see Hillary Clinton become President for the very reasons you have just stated! Many other world powers do not see women as equals so therefore it will be a massive reeducation for them. Secondly, it would be interesting to have a female perspective on the aggressive stance taken in terms of warfare etc If appointing a female President were to incite more bold conflict on American soil then maybe certain individuals would need to look seriously at their idea of patriotism. Many countries have successfully elected female leaders; the UK and New Zealand for example. Were they taken any less seriously as a result? Margaret Thatcher for example (love her or hate her) was one tough woman that took an extremely strong stance against Russia etc and was feared by many as a result of this. If any woman in the modern era has the ability it is Hillary Clinton in my opinion; and she will be backed by solid people. America would probably be far more accepting of a white female President than an African American or Hispanic President (male or female). Will it happen? It would be nice to see a forward thinking and open attitude towards their leadership shown by voters. I am not American so maybe not entitled to an opinion on this but I am not sure if America as a whole is ready to be this open yet??

Your entitled to your opinion, not only cuase i asked for it but becuase everyone is entitled in world issues. You do make some valid points, although the countries with women leaders, already had past ones, this would be the first for the good old USA. If she does make it in, andAmerica ever was invaded i would be gettin patriotic on them and excersizing my rights to bear arms all over them. I actaully read in a press release a few years ago about the cold war, Russia disclosed part of the reason they were hesitent to invade usa was they had no way of knowing how many citizens were armed., Obviously not the only reason but enough that they would state it.

I don't think it matters if the next leader is male or female, just that they don't screw things up more than they already are .. if that is even possible. In regads to foreign countries seeing women as less than equal; they are - pretty much - the same places that flat out hate America so I don't think that is going to make a big difference.
