What is your local politician doing to help your community?

I'm a little disappointed with the politicians that people have elected in my community or the country for that matter. I've recently moved from Canada back to Taiwan where I was born. I found out majority of the politicians bought their way into the parliment, and all they do is fight with eachother. What have your politicians done for your community?
