The family. We were a strange little band of characters trudging through life sharing diseases and toothpaste, coveting one another's desserts, hiding shampoo, borrowing money, locking each other out of our rooms, inflicting pain and kissing to heal it in the same instant, loving, laughing, defending, and trying to figure out the common thread that bound us all together

Hey, that is a cute way of describing family ties. Though, reading it again and again, I think it more accurately describe siblings relationship specificallt, not that of family as general. W have different kind of relationship with parents, which to some extent includes but not limited to respect and then with relatives, there would be some reservation like I do not expect relatives to actually share toothpaste :) Still, very nicely written.

Lol you topic made me giggle, i never really thought about the family like that but its true. Its quite amusing how we put up with people we would NEVER put up with, just becasue they are our family members.
