Do you get a pumpkin for halloween each year to decorate? If so, do you carve it, paint it, or do something else unusual with it? I always carve mine into a detailed scene, so that different layers shine with different intensity of the light inside. Give us some of your good suggestions!

Ortificial face masks available in downtown areas. There is no necessary for carving, decorating it. Radium stickers were used for extra face lift. Still you want to make it special one, get a pumpkin and carve like batman mask and put two holes on both sides of face on top above the ears place. Insert Radium color baloons from the hole inside out. Put a knot after filling with air. The mask looks very bright with two big balloons oner the mask gives terrifying looks. Try it now and look for the result. How's that? +

we did not carve pumpkins this year. One of the local churchs has a "pumpkin patch" to raise money for missions. So I took the kids there and they picked out small pumpkins and they had sticker faces for them. It was not messy, each child got his/her own pumpkin and they each got to deco it how they wanted.

Naw...never too late for halloween, lol. It's a lot of fun doing the pumpkins when you have kids around! My grandson is almost 4 and he approaches scooping out the pumpkin guts like he was doing brain surgery or something, hehehe. He scoops them and Gramma carves them. I like to do the detailed ones that come out 3-D. This year I did one that was an eagles head that wrapped around most of the pumpkin. I LOVE doing pumpkins!

Today I was carving a pumpkin with my grand-daughter who is 8. She LOVED the squishy feel of the seeds and spent hours getting them out, washing them and putting them to dry to make into necklaces later! Grandpa did the real work, however. I haven't taken a pic yet, or it would be here!

I'll bet you had just as much fun as she had, lol! I helped my grandson (almost 4) do his pumpkin...must be at that age they like the squishy stuff. How cool that she's going to make a necklace out of the seeds...neat idea!

Here's a picture of the pumpkin we carved this year. It's supposed to be Steve Irwin. Can you tell?

We don't get a pumpkin every year. From time to time if we have a good one from the garden we just set it on the porch, other times we carve it.

If we get a pumpkin we clean it out, cut it up, and cook it down into pumpkin filling for Thanksgiving pies. The adults think it's wonderful this way. However, the first time I served pie made this way to my children, they asked me if I wouldn't please use real pumpkin out of a can next time.
