I had the same thing happen to me with my nokia when it fell into the bath tub. I removed all the covers, keypad, battery and sim card and let it dry overnight. When I turned it back on everything worked fine except that there was no light on the screen. Thats the best I could do. I never had my screen fail on me completely but I would say that your phone is a gonner. I would reccomend you get the O2, I hear they are very reliable.

yep alright well i hope there is something to be salvaged. As for the O2 i believe you are talking about the O2 atom xda which i have also heard great things about also. In fact i already had this phone when it cost around 500 pounds and it got stolen!

Seems to me like the LCD has been damaged because of the water that got in. If the cellphone repair shop could find that it's the LCD (or even less problem than that), then it could be fixed by the technician then. The LCD can be replaced, and so are the other parts that have been damaged. Of course, it depends on the extent of the damage on the phone. You really need to see a cellphone technician. Sorry about your phone.

Pluntt since the key pads are glowing, it is not completely spoiled. Only LCD (Liquid Crystal display) would have spoiled. You can replace it with 5-6$. Cheeeers.

I think it depends on what kind of phone it is. My idea is that if your phone is that monochrome screens(meaning uncolored), this means that there is less stuff there that can be screwed up by water damaged. If the screen is colored then the possibility of resurrecting your LCD screen is slim. Anyway, for your case, since the keypad still lights up this means that the power system of your phone still functions well. But then, since the LCD is not working you should get it a new LCD screen.

alright sounds good. It is a colored screen so i guess what i need to do is take it to a phone store and ask for much it will cost to be repaired. I actually had a friend with the same problem and for it to be repaired he would of had to pay more than a new phone or very close to it. So he jsut bought a complete different phone. maybe i will have better luck. cheers Plunt
