Rating varies here at mylot

I jumped and screamed for joy when I saw that my rating has gone up to 8 but it suddenly went down today but I've been posting even longer posts! I really wonder what they mean by quality posting because I do abide by their laws. Guess I have to really post long and quick. If that's possible.

Hello jynxpanda!(",) Don't you worry to much about your star rating. Actually it is your reputation to other members of mylot, how others rate your discussions. Your star rating has nothing to do with your earnings. Just continue to make discussions which are of quality.(",) It's good that you are making long responses, you are in the right track and just continue to do what you are doing. Don't you worry, I will rate you positively to increase your star rating.(",) Have a great day! Enjoy your stay here in mylot!(",)

To know more about mylot's rules and regulations, you have to read their FAQ's provided to us. As this is where they most likely expect from, there are also other reasons why your ratings go down, it maybe because you are responding or starting discussions with less quality. Quality postings are well-written, understandable, contributive post that is helpful on this site.

I'm glad that you pointed them out =) I just read them and then noticed that my rating dropped again. I know that it has nothing to do with your earnings but still, I do believe I post quality posts yet it keeps going down. I wonder what's wrong.. Is someone really rating my comments negative? I wish there's a way to find out.. thanks for the help though!

It may also be governed by the number of 'best responses' you get and by the comments you leave for others from the discussions you started. I'm taking a guess though, but my initial rating started at a six and now is at a nine. I don't post particularly long messages so I think it has to do with other things as well.
