My Mylot money is buying a new digital camera. What are you saving for?

Are you saving for anything special? Are you close to reaching your goal? For me, I originlly planned on seeing if I could make the minimum payout and was going to donate my earnings towards a Runescape membership for my son. I'll still give him the fiver, but I made a little more than I thought I would and now have a new goal. I am going on vacation in the end of June and am going to see how much money I can earn at Mylot between now and then. Whatever I earn will go towards a new camera, and the existing cameras will be passed down the chain gang of my kids. Do you have a similar goal?

Before I begin spending it, I want to see how much I actually earn each month. I would like to use it for vacation this summer so hopefully I will reach that goal. Maybe it's better to have a goal in mind to keep us motivated to post more and earn more money here.

I think a specific goal is a great motivator. For instance, I was off MYlot for a week entertaining guests, and now I need to make up the posts I missed in order to stay on track. I just keep thinking about that camera!

I am still saving all my earnings, and when I will earn enough money, I will buy me few things that I need. Right now, I will still save it.

Saving is good :-) Like I say, this originally started off as a complete lark just to see if I could make a minimum payout, but it has worked out to be fairly painless and I like the idea I will be able to, if I can discipline myself, get myself a little treat for doing something that is fun, anyhow.

Hey Seamonkey... Have missed you was wondering where ya been. I never have a particular goal in mind, well not usually. All of my online ventures goes into what I call my ebay account. That way when there is something special I am searching for in ebay the money is in there, and I do not have to pull it out of my household budget. It's mine to do what ever I please with. My experience has been so far that my son targets it for what ever new software, video games he is looking for. I don't mind that really as this mylot has turned into a blast and not really an object of "work".

Yep, sounds like thats going to happen MOM. I wonder if there might be an fix for it? Have you tried calling camera shops to at least inquire? You never know it just might be an easy fix.

The good old ebay account. I was looking at the sites that accept Paypal and saw a cuple of camera shops, as well as Walgreens which carries quite a few cameras that seem quite reasonably priced. I don't doubt my little darlings will spend it for me too, if I let them! The sad thing is, I promised my youngest the camera I am currently using, which he 'borrows' and loves. When I was out last week (been entertaining house guests and showing them the sights- photos to be uploaded in 'Places I have Lived', 'Ireland' in the days to come)my bloody camera screen keeled over. I don't know WHAT happened, but while it still takes photos, the view screen is now white. I feel crummy because my little fella loved that view screen because he was able to guage what he was doing. I might have to save up for one for me and another for him, as well.

It might be worth a try, bu I betcha it is one of those deals where it'll cost more to fix than replace. A real shame because it was a great cam, and the one I had BEFORE that is still ticking along just fine, but it doesn't have a built in view screen. I tell you, the little devils know how to work me!

I want to get piano lessons I was going to put my earnings towards that I've set it to the higher limit so I'll have the most money possible. My nearest teacher charges 9 pounds for a half hour lesson so I need quite a lot of money.

Wow, I guess you've been saving up for so long for you to be able to buy a new digital cam! Well, good for you ;) I, on the other hand, am saving up for a dress that i'll be needing for my friend's wedding next week! Hehe.. hope i'll be able to get my pay just before the wedding!!

Nopers, I don't have it all yet, but I am getting there. A wedding dress, huh? That is also very interesting. I haven't really looked into getting money transferred into my bank account. If I carry on here long enough that would be an option, but for the time being I will day dream about cameras and paypal online shopping.

I'm trying to save up for a new computer. You're so fortunate seamonkey, for getting that much money from mylot. My mylot account only has 1.11 in it. (*sob). But that's not really why I joined mylot, its so much fun being here, meeting new people and learning things from different cultures. I know that the money i get from here won't be enough to buy a new computer, but every little bit counts.

Oh heck, no, I haven't earned it all yet! I am bent n earning it between now and July 1st. I will try my best between now and then, and when I am in the states I will buy one ther from amazon or something similar as it will be cheaper then buying here. I have been here only month and haven't decided even which camera I will get. I am sure, based on my first month's earnings, however, that I will be able to afford something.

I am using mine to add to my debt repayments. I am trying to get out of debt as soon as possible, so every cent helps. It's nice to have these opportunities to make extra money. Once I get out of debt, I will probably save up for a new camera and a new computer monitor.

I should only be s sensible! I use all my 'real' money for bills and necessities, so I guess this money is purely for 'fun'. Good luck with your goal!

Thank you, and you are right, they are great kids, so not that much not to love. I am no web afficianado so I can't help you out with domain names but I think it is REALLY cool that you are taking responsibilty for your own bills and not just automatically assuming your parents have to pay. That speaks very well of you and I bet they think you are pretty great, too.

Hi, my partner and I are saving up for a new car as at the end of this week we will not have one on the road. He has been selling things through 'Trademe' an auction online site, and I have been doing lots of different things online, one being mylot, and I really enjoy it. I hope you have success in buying your camera.

All the money I earn online goes to my online gaming. I can't afford to spend my own money on this things so I earn some online money in order to play some online games.

I'm actually saving for a trip to LA (I'm from New Zealand). I was in the States in January/February and LA is my favourite place in the world. I need so much money to make it happen again though, I want to go in July which is when my holidays are, and I'm not sure I'll be able to make the needed amount but I'll give it a go!

I am really glad that you asked that question because at first I set off with a similiar goal just to see how much money I would make off of the program and then I decided to actually save for my SON lately he has been a very good boy and finally cleaning up his room. So whatever I make in any given month I will give it to my son.

That is a nice idea, but there is no way I am handing over all the money I made last month to him. Mine gets enough goodies and I look at this as purely fun money for me beyond the Runescape membership.

I have alrady spent what I have earned so far. I have been able to purchase dvds and music as well as a part for my violin. Last Saturday I purchased a new clarinet on eBay and I only had to add €4 to the final cost as I had been outbid on it. Now I am going to let my earnings build up again until I need something else. Hope you get your digital camera. The rewards for posting here on myLot are just fantastic.

With the number next to your name I see you are an old hand at this. Glad to see that after time it stays interesting. I was wondering if it is the sort of place people only hang around a month or so and then drift away?

i don't have a goal at the moment for my mylot earnings. i for the moment let it sit in my paypal account until there is something that i need or want. when i do use some or all of it i use it for information to help me with building a better site and getting more traffic

Sounds like a good plan, too. It isn't a bad thing to let it pile up and then have it ready when you want it.

I'm saving the money I earn online from Mylot and blogsvertise towards a Rowing Machine. I want to get into shape before my hike in July/August. I'm almost halfway there so far and I'm hoping to have the full amount I need by the end of next month. Fingers crossed I'll get it. Since I quit smoking I've put on a fair bit of weight, so I want to try and shed that, tone my body some, and in general, start taking better care of myself overall.

I would like to buy a laptop computer which cost around 1000 dollars. I cannot afford it within these few months unless I get 1000 active referrals in mylot.lol.. My earning from mylot is just above 25 dollars which may not be enough to have a dinner. If i want to buy the laptop, i think i need 40 months to work in mylot..

Keep it up, easy. I don't have any luck with referrals so it is ging to have to be through my own graft. Have you taken advantage of uploading photos? It is a steady, easy earner. It seems like daily expenses and new computers are on peoples wish lists, as well as my camera, a wedding dress, and pian lessons. What else, folks?

I'm saving to help my parents. They have a debt from €20.000,- and i'mn willing to do everything to help them because they have been set up by some imposters. So it wasn't their fault. So every single penny counts for me to help them out. But i only post on something which interests me and if i can help in it and not to make money by someone elses pain.

Wow, what an admirable goal. With such an immense debt, I am wondering if there might not be a better route than Mylot? It just seems like it would take a heck of a lot of posts to put a dent into that bill.
