I have seen many of my friends sleeping early so that they rise early and study with a fresh mind. They say that their grasp is more in the morning hours. At the smae time there are ppl who prefer to finish their work in the night so that they could sleep with a free mind. which method do u ppl prefer and why?

I think very early in the morning is better, the only problem there is how often do we feel like waking up at 3am or 4am to study? Don't you just feel like putting off your alarm and turning over to continue your sweet sleep? I do that very often.

The best time to study is small spurts through out the day. What ever will fit on an index card. Studies show that you will remember better and more accurately if you study in short spurts. When you are studying you should not study for more than 15 minutes at a time, take a break, get something to drink, go to the restroom then come back and study for another 15 minutes. It is like when you were in elementary school and you were studying for a spelling test, you could always remember the first couple and last couple of words on the list no matter how hard they were.

i like to study at night. but i never stayed late. when i feel that i'm getting sleepy, i sleep. then, i wake up early to study. but i really like to study at night cause there's less distraction and everything's quiet. the only thing you need to fight is sleepiness. but since im a night person, i could stay until 2-3 am without getting too sleepy.

For me it depends on the subject I am studying, if it is one that I have great interest in then I can study and learn well at night, it then has time to work through my sub-concious mind while I am sleeping. If it is a subject I do not have a particular interest in then mornings can be better. When it comes to cramming for exams then mornings are better for me.

I usually study at night, whatever the subject is. I have a problem with waking up early. I'm okay with night study schedule because I can concentrate better at night. Once I pass my sleepy hour of 9PM, I don't have a problem. I just sleep by the time I have finished studying. I wake up earlier whenever I sleep less. Strange, huh? But that's the way I got used to. I also feel more "in the zone" or without any mental block with less sleep. I guess this is because I was confident I was already able to study beforehand (the night before). Happy myLotting!
