I was wondering what one (or two :) ) craft projects stand out for preschool children? I have a 3 and 5 year old that I enjoy doing projects with and would love some ideas! Neither of them are IN pre-school so I try to actively do projects with them.

My son isn't old enough for this kind of project, but I once was a nanny and this was their favorite activity:I got a huge sheet of paper and traced their bodies on it. I cut out the body and had them draw their faces and clothing on it. This kept them busy for a whole day. They were so proud of their "children", they showed anyone who came by the house.

Oh how fun!!!! This is a wonderful idea that I know both of my children will enjoy. Is there any particular kind of paper that you used? Where do you get paper that large? I imagine a roll of something. Thank you and if you have any more ideas I would truly LOVE to hear them. This one is on the to do list for sure.

it came in a roll, the parents bought it, not sure where they got it from. I think it'd work if you tape a bunch of construction paper together.

I love doing crafts with the grandkids. I try to keep colored paper, crayons, glue, glitter on hand. I also safe empty oatmeal containers, you can always make things with those. Here is a link on how to make things, maybe you can get some ideas on here. http://www.instructables.com paper mache is always fun too. Messy but fun.
