I've noticed that there seems to be a lot of cursing on cable tv lately. Words that were previously unacceptable are now popping up on major networks. Some of the words I've heard recently: b!tch, a$$hole, and a$$.
Is anyone else bothered by all the cursing on cable tv? Or do you think it's acceptable in this day and age?

I'm concerned with it being on cable and network TV and also on nearly all of the commercial radio stations. I have a hard time finding any entertainment that I can enjoy with my 15 & 12 yr olds without feeling uncomfortable about the subject matter and/or language. I don't care what day and age it is, I don't think it's appropriate to have it all out there for everyone to witness. I'm only 33, so I know I can't be just an old biddy... :)

It's not just pay TV, I'm concerned about it in movies, on the streets and in our schools even with kids as young as 5 years old cursing and swearing like a trooper. I think it's unacceptable to and totally agree with you and we teach our kids that it is wrong!

We only get CBS and NBC (on a "good" day) and do not need cable or satellite to notice language and actions which I do consider offensive, obscene etc. I am especially bothered by the profanity and blasphemy that occurs with regularity. I pray I never get desensitized to such outrages. There is an utter lack of decorum in our society as a whole, maybe if television would take "The High Road" people would strive to do and be better.
