It's seems to me that I am not myself anymore, that's what my wife keep telling me this year, from time to time I suddenly forgot my password on my e-mail which I used everyday, it's take a few seconds to remember, sometimes I forgot the names of the person which I know very well or meet everyday, it is always on the tip of my tongue ,like when I'm calling someone on the phone I suddenly have mental block to whom I am calling to when they answer the phone, so I ask myself it is the problem, stress or lack of sleep from the work ? Do I need a vacation? What causes this mental block? Do you know anything about it? Share it with me.

its stress. definitely. i always get mental blocks myself. when i recite in class, in exams, reports and other things that need fast thinking. try not to worry too much. think of other things, things that make you calm and not too excited. try not to think too much of that thing that you should remember at that precise moment and it eventually will come to you. i think that's the best solution for mental blocks of that kind. on names of people, places, and numbers, well that's a different thing. i read somewhere before that we really don't forget those things, since we weren't really able to put into good memory. it's not retrieving information that's the problem but rather storing it. if you forget the names of people you meet everyday, it could be because you never really put it into good memory, it's like you took his/her name for granted since you always meet him/her anyway and details like that become more irrelevant. try to look more into these details and attach a story or funny phrase or something to it. like your password, try describing it or relate it to your email--just make sure it's not easily related or else hackers will have an easier time with it. the fun part is memorizing peoples names. relate their names to their physical looks and their jobs. like harry potter: well he's got messy hair and he uses cauldrons (like pots) as a wizard. do that and your on your way to becoming a memory guru ^_^ good luck!

I guess I will try putting some adjectives on a person names so I can easily remember their names, maybe like fat David or tiny Goliath, and also I am not good in memorizing things during my school days , I will try to keep myself relax.

That also happened to me, I forgot my password or scrambled it that i have to stop and think it over or look for the notepad. It also happens even if I'm already infront of the person I want to see that i will not be able to accomplish what is to be done. Many times I have experience this and cause a lot of delays and takes a lot of time. I've been a laughing stuff of my husband because of the mental lapses that i made. I think irregular sleep, stress, anxieties, problems cause this. A rest is really needed.
