Are Jokes Allowed On Mylot?

I am a bit frustrated, because things on this site can become confusing sometimes. There are times when I am in the mood or find a good joke, that I like to share it with everyone. I love to make people laugh. However, I just read that jokes are not allowed on Mylot. Some people post little more than jokes. And if it is not allowed why is there a joke catagory and why is it not in the rules. For some reason, I feel like this is someone's personal opinion, but I can not be sure. Has anyone else heard of this rule. I don't want to unknowingly commit any violations, but I also don't want to stop doing something that I enjoy, if there is no problem with it. Depending on your responses, I will decide on whether or not to e-mail the company. The other day, I did a riddle, and why it was short and simple, I just wanted to share it to see if someone could get it. I did not realize it was so popular, but someone on Mylot chewed me out for it.

I'm one month old on mylot now. I have responded to some 1500+ discussions now and as you have told that jokes are not allowed is something new for me. May be you have got it wrong or may be I'm reading this sort of thing first time. As such I haven't posted any joke yet but would now try to post one and find out what happens. I haven't heard a rule that jokes are not allowed on mylot. I'm feeling like what you do regarding mailing the mylot staff . Yes, we are not allowed to post one liners either in discussion or in response. I was surprised when I also received a rude comment on my one liner discussion. Then I stopped posting one liner in either discussion and responses.

Well I hope they are allowed, I just posted one about Bill Gates and GM. I have read a few funny jokes and stories and have enjoyed them, however I do agree that it is not always possible to comment on them beyond 'how funny' but they still brighten the day, I would rather read a joke than someone moaning on about something and nothing.

I don't know if there is any rule against them or not. You can find many people who just post jokes here. You might as well try it. Personally, I tend to scroll past those types of discussions. I mean what can you say but...cool joke. What kind of a discussion is that? Someone chewed you out? I guess then that I would contact mylots and ask them if it is permitted or frowned on.
