For me, 1 cent is worth the effort. 1 Dollar is equal to 100 cents. Its makes 100 cents to make up a single dollar.
Imagine you go to a shop and want to buy a chocolate that is for $1 and you have only 99 cents. Thats the time you will realize the importance of that 1 cent.
Remember, it takes trillions and trillions and trillions of drops to make up an ocean.
For me 1 cent will always be worth.
Have you ever thrown away 1 cent as "Trash"...... does 1 Cent count in your life.

One cent only looks important when it is needed, we dont have one cent coins over here though, so everything is rounded up if you are paying with cash. I think that in the case of something being a dollar and i only have 99c, I'd simply just ask for it for 99c. Although if you are talking about online things, on some sites it takes ages to even get a cent, it becomes an important thing to get in that case.

Thats very true...... you dont have it when you need it the most. And when you need it the most...... you realize how important those things can be.
Life is full of needs and wants. You want more and more and your means always fall short if you are not carful and prudent enough.....:)

I think our one cent is worth just a little more than yours and I still wouldn't stop to pick one up if I saw one lying on the ground. I wouldn't even pick up a two cent piece. There has been two 2 cent coins lying on my front doorstep for almost six months now and even all the beggars who have knocked on my door haven't bothered to pick them up. If I was short of a couple of cents for a bar of chocolate or anything else for that matter the shopkeeper usually gives the item as a gesture of goodwill. People here don't want the one cent coins as they take up too much space in their pockets or purses. Even the shopkeepers don't want them.

your right it counts, you can buy chocolate with your pennies but you cannot pay your rent with them, you can't wait that long for your money to accumulate.
