Errr...I honestly can't understand your question very much. Do you mean that if you decide to study at PUP, then your father will hand out the money to you. If you resort to studying at UST, then what? Are you still going to receive the money? It really depends on the course you choose. UST is certainly a better University than PUP. It can also give you a better edge when the time comes for you to look for a job. Most companies tend to discriminate the less popular Universities. About the K5 you're mentioning, it is your prerogative to decide whether its practical enough to buy something that's worth 10K or not.

yeah, my dad wil hand over the money and enjoy it for sure... if i will go for ust, no deals, no anything... the situation right now is very destitute because the sister of my dad had a malignant disease and you don't wanna know what that is... since my aunt's annuled with her husband, all the payments are leagally responsible to my dad... i'm not the only child my dad and mom bears... you know nowadays, poverty is really overtaking our country... let's talk about K5... it's still my perquisite to decide to buy luxurious things for me... i miss having some of it... by the way, are you a college studnt or graduated on it?!... thanks for the response... I think that you should save some of the money to put away for a bad time. It is not every day you receive that kind of money as a gift. I am assuming that he is giving you 50k and also paying for your college seperately? If so, I would definitely buy something modest to use for transportation. Luxury is not necessary at your age. You have a long life ahead of you and I think that saving that money for when you start your life is a better choice. Buying something less expensive and living modestly is not a bad thing. It shows great thought and responsibility. Blowing that kind of money when your country is so impoverished around you as you said, is not very attractive to others. But ultimately it is up to you to do what you want with that money. If it makes you happy and feel better, do what you will. But that is what I would do with the money.

choose ust.. you got more opportunities if you're a UST graduate. And it's fun at UST. You'll learn a lot of things. Plus they have a lot of services ect! It's actually like Hogwarts in the Philippines. hhehe

I graduated at UST and I know from my experience that being a graduate from a top university will allow you edge compared to other applicants when your looking for a job. Im not saying that your decision is wrong or bad..am just saying that as a graduate of a top schools the benefits that came from it will make your 50k look like just a penny. trust me :)

So you wanna be on my friends list? Hmmm. You're just 16 going on 17, innocent as a rose, err... though I would agree with them, I also think that you should act your age and just go with the flow. I mean, at this stage in your life or at your age, your dad must have not expected you to spend the money he'll give you on some serious stuff or "noble causes" yet. Otherwise it is no longer a bait, err, an offer that you won't be able to resist. lol. I think you can afford to buy anything you want this time with your budget. I am not a techie person so I can not give you advise on what kind of gadget to buy. But whatever it is, I suggest you make good use of it not only for pleasure but for your education as well and take care of it as you would your life because it's not everyday that your dad is going to give you money in exchange of something worthy as college education in a fine university. It's like you are paying for your own decision to have a bright future. And for that you should thank your dad - and yourself, if you manage to stick with the responsibilities that go along with that decision and come out successful as a student and later as a professional in the near future. Bow. :) If you plan to buy something from Apple Store in the US though, please contact me. lol.
