School gangs...............yeah!! My school story...........

Ok, before anyone jumps on me on this one, I'm talking about non-violent school gangs. More like groups, you know you're in school and you and your friends have nothing to do and someone goes, we should have our own gang, like a name for a gang, so that we're popular, and then you play on the idea for a while and it sounds interesting and everyone gets all excited about it..
Well, that's how my nickname vega was born.
You see someone in our group of friends, had this idea and we were looking for a good name for ourselves, so I thought why not 'starlets' like little stars, it sounds kinda lame now, but it sounded really good back then. And then we thought we could all have nicknames of actual stars as in the celestial bodies, not the celebrities. So we checked out the encyclopedia and chose the names of different stars for ourselves, I chose vega, and others chose spica, deneb, capella, rigel, etc. It was pretty cool, but then we didn't know where to go from there, alright so we all incorporated that into our e-mails and it's still a good username that I still use on all sites, but other than that, 'starlets' never really took off.
So did you have a gang like that in school. What was the name? Was it ever popular? And does some of it still stay with you in your username or nicknames or some part of your life?

Hoghoney is a nickname I have had as long as I can remember. and yes it is sad that I have been in a gang but it was not a good one when I was in school. I grew up on the east side of Gary Indiana and back when I was growing up it was called Murder City U.S.A. and in school was the worst I had three friends that were killed in gang fights and I for all these years carrier two scars one on the bridge of my nose where I was hit with a baseball bat and it broke my nose and one on my shoulderblade where a girl in school stabbed me with a knife in 9th grade. Gangs good or bad it is a part of my life that I try not to think about but sometime I think about the three great friends that I lost back then.

Whoa, I guess no one was exaggerating when they called it murder city, sorry to hear about your friends, that must have been hard.
I knew gang violence was an issue in some places, our school and our city looks like a nice poodle in comparison now. I guess gangs in school, at least these type of gangs, are really not good. But I guess in a situation like that, you have no choice but to join a gang yourself, for survival, I would think.

Ya dude i am in high school . and we have a gang its name eagle gang . and its too famous in all school and my nick name is akki in the gang.
