My 2 year old likes to eat at 11:30am for lunch. So I looked at the clock and got cooking! I just brought him his plate and realized I never set that clock, so it's only 10:30 and the poor kid is eating his lunch!!! aww! Have you ever done anything like this?

I did just the opposit yesterday. No school so we are all off schedule. We usually have lunch here at noon. I was on the computer early, then got busy with other things. I looked at the clock and it was 1pm. This is nap time and the poor kids hadn't even eaten yet! They had a late lunch and a late nap. I know how you feel.

lol happens to every mum at some point I am sure. My almost three year old has also asked for things like soup first thing in the morning or got up late and expected lunch straight away even when no where near lunchtime yet. To me its more important that he eats when he feels he needs to. Wouldnt worry about lunch at 10.30. I am sure if he wasnt hungry he wouldnt have eaten it.

Yes, my son likes eating "lunch" at all kinds of random times. It is even worse now that he is in school because they eat much earlier (11 am) than most people eat lunch.

LOL.. that's not an "oops".. that's BRUNCH darling! LOL We never admit to being screwed up... just find a new term for our "mistake"! Sheesh... do I have to teach you all the mommy tricks? LOL If it helps any... I showed up at my daughter's school one time an hour early to pick her up because I had forgotten to "fall back" with my clock! And we've shown up at church as they're letting out because we forgot to set our clocks ahead!

:) That is too funny. I can't say I have ever done THAT in particular but I think all of us moms (and some dads too) have a story or two to tell. My son has always been the opposite. I have always had a terrible time getting him to eat at lunch time. He likes to eat at 1:30 pm. So he has a snack about the 10:30 a.m. time. This was very cute..I'm glad you shared this with us. It made me laugh. Thanks

Kind of, my sons lunch is also at 11:30, but a few times he does his usual "hunger dance" in the kitchen so I make him his lunch, look at the clock and it's only 10:30!

Yes, my children are often asking for lunch about 11am or so. I see nothing wrong with it as long as you are having an earlier dinner or a heatlhy snack in between lunch and dinner to hold them over. I do it all the time with my kids.

I have done that on purpose before so I can get him to take an earlier nap. Haha!!!! Wait til they can tell the time and will ask you why they are eating lunch instead of breakfast.
