I am a very sensitive person. I can easily be lonely but I can also easily be happy. When I am sad, I want to be silent but when a person closed to me smiles, I start to get happy. Just a smile from a friend or a family member could cheer me up a little.

my friend just came to my dorm smiling and that cheered me up from the madness of the noise made by my roommate.

i am starting to go through menopause i think ol. my moods change liek the weather around here. i am easy though to get back intoa good mood. a hug fromt he kids or hubby slapping my butt etc. it doesnt take much. i just like to feel loved lol. sometimes just going outsdie and watching the animals play pick my spirits up. the one thing though that will keep me in a good mood is to wake up or walk back into the house and it to be all nice and clean and the kids not saying thats mine mom sister has my barbie etc. lol

I usually call a friend of mine when I'm depressed. Just by talking to someone, I get myself back into the right mood. Of course, I might depress him in the process, but he doesn't mind! He can always call me when he's deperessed! Also I love listening to the right kind of music or watching a "feel-good" movie. Like It's A Wonderful Life. Those things always cheer me up no matter how depressed.

I have been learning lots of new ways to deal with depression or to "up" my mood. Journaling and writing is great. Especially do it when you are happy and in a good mood and when the bad ones come you can look back and see you were happy and why. Or express your sorrow and just get it out. Music too is a big one for me. Even some music others might think is depressing can lift me up. (LOL, I am an emo fan)
