"Many techniques in common use today don't have cast-iron evidence that they do any good." Surprisingly, the techniques refered to in the quote above are medical science techniques! I was quite surprised to learn that evidence comes out that certain medical practices and techniques are worthless and doctors ignore the evidence. I thought they were men and women of science.
