"Iraqi Sunnis set up fatwa body to combat al Qaeda"
The above is a quote from an article concerning Sunni Muslims in Iraq who are fed up with so many Iraqi civilians being indiscriminately killed by their fellow Muslims fighting the Americans.
While this group is not in support of the Americans, I believe that since they are of a similar mind set as ourselves as to the sacredness of human life, we will be able to deal with these people. We won't have to kill them if they win against Al Qaeda, but will able to make peace with them.
More details about this movement to get rid of Al Qaeda in Iraq composed of insurgent Iraqi's who've had enough is at the url below:

Am I naive to think we can make peace with these Muslims who want to drive out Al Qaeda from Iraq? Afterall, they want what we want.

The only thing I see wrong with this is the only they are complaining about is their own people are being killed. It still sounds like they could give a rats @$$ about us. Everyday this goes by I think its time we get the hell out and worry about securing are own damn borders. There is one thing alone that will stop terrorism and thats to make sure they dont get in to begin with. I am on a roll tonight cause I been posting on politics so I am all worked up, sorry if I seem so negative but I just dont see how we can make a difference in all this madness over seas. I dont think its going to end anytime soon not in the next five years not in the next ten years so when do you draw the line? They obviously dont want us there so why be somewhere other than some fat cat corporate leaders want to get their hands in on the action. I have even consider the idea that oil has to be sold in American dollars instead of Euro dollars and I dont see that is a good enuff reason. If that happens I still believe the US dollar can recover and we can move on by getting some of the jobs back and limiting our foreign trade instead of economically supporting the world. Who knows maybe we might even break down and find a different fuel source instead of something that is going to run out anyways and is about as bad as it can be for our environment.

You make good points and they are in support of my hypothesis that there is some kind of secret agenda concerning USA involvement in Iraq.
Afterall, it all just does not make sense and I know our top leaders are not stupid. If they are not stupid, just what are they really up to with this apparent stupidity?
I don't know.

This is a step forward in the Global War on Terror. The more people that join in, the better off we will be. I welcome this move by the Sunni's in Iraq.

Bear in mind these people still want to fight the USA and want the US out of Iraq. They just are fed up with Al Qaeda killing Iraqi citizens with no good reason.
However, this is progress. We have no desire to annex Iraq or keep it for ourselves. So, after Al Qaeda is dealt with, why shouldn't we be able to work out a peace? They want us out and we want to go. Sounds like ideal conditions to make a deal to me!

It is a place to start.
If we had a common goal then we could build on that.
Anything that would achieve our goal and let us leave would benefit both sides.
Maybe with a little luck we can come to some kind of an agreement with them.

That's what I'm hoping. As long as they want to see the blood shed stop. I don't care what they believe concerning Allah as long as they want peace.
