I just don't know why I can't save money! If I'm planning to save the more I spend the money and presto... I'm broke again! I buy clothes and stuff that's why I don't get to save! Hassle! I'm so irritated, I'm planning to save now to start my own business and I hope it pushes through this time. Wish me luck! Do you get to save money?

I used to be like you too and I was broke every month and wasn't really sure where I spent the money. If you want to save, you have to be really determined, here are some methods I use and see if it works for you (my finance is getting better now LOL): 1. Sit down and think about if there is some unneccessary bills that you could remove from your spending (like mine was my cell phone bill and my home phone bill, I changed them to the cheapest plan) 2. Have two bank accounts, one for saving (can't take out any money) and one for daily expenses. Once you get paid every month, just put a certain amount of money into the saving one and forget about it. This is really effective. 3. Try not to use credit card. I discover not using credit cards can really make you save more. For me, when I use credit card, I tend to forget how much I have used and every month, the bill is bigger than what I thought. Good luck to your saving!! Hope it will all work out for you!

It took me the hard way to learn how to save. Five years ago I maxed out my card just for buying clothes,shoes,perfumes...I was granted a loan from a bank and I used this money to pay for my maxed out card. unfortunately, after clearing my card debt I was back to spending again and before I knew it I maxed out my card the second time...this time it took me longer to pay because now I have two debts the loan and the card. My salary just goes the payment of those debts. When I quit my job, a friend offered a business I could do. This is what I did to save money: 1. I hid my credit card ( I forced myself not to take it with me everytime I go out) 2. Everytime I receive cash I deposit the entire amount in a savings account 3. I wrote down the things I need to pay and the things I need to buy (groceries)...then I just withdraw the the amount I need. That way I don't get tempted to spend the cash I have on hand (because its in the bank already) 4. I punished myself...I did not buy new clothes, shoes and perfumes until I got my debts paid. That took me three years...so no new stuffs for me. 5. Eventually when I saved enough, I opened a mutual fund and in just six months it earned 43% of the amount I invested.

I feel earning more money will be better than saving money. Also it could gain more fun by earning more money and spending it.

It's better if you're earning more then know to to save right? In time, you will need money and then you'll realize that its not so good to spend money.

You have to change your way of thinking when it comes to saving money. My wife and I started the paying ourselves first a few years ago, and wow we really have been able to save a nice little kitty. Its amazing what you can do when you really try to. We always pay ourselves first, before we pay any bills we consider ourselves our biggest debt and most important. We have some tips for learning to really save on our blog if anyone is interested at http://www.learntosave.blogspot.com
