Hi there,I am a chinese.I will work in a IT compony in 3 months and an English name is prerequisite.So I wonder wheather someone on mylot can be kind of to do me a favor.My Chinese name is '???'.Which English name should I choose? Thanks .

Yikes! I wish I could read that. What about "David"? That's a fairly common name that has a nice sound to it. Whatever you do, don't pick "John."

I definetly agree there, no offence to the Johns of the world. Especially try not to pick John Smith if you have to pick a first and last name :P

Sorry, I don't recognize those characters. What is the Pinyin of your name? And what does it mean? I can probably think of a name that has a similar sound to your Zhongwen mingzi or something with a close meaning.

Thanks to everyone here.My name in pinyin is Ji liping.what it means? I can't say very well.It's a normal name in china ,I think.Do you konw a famous dancer in China whose name Yang liping is the same as mine .

It's really difficult thinking of a name that fits. Most of what I can think of are just common names. Give me a little while and I might think of a nice literary name. Now I know how difficult it was to get my Chinese name: ????

hi,i come from china ,too.my english name is iris.i had my english name when i was in high school's time.i think you can choose the name with '?',for example :lily ,mary etc .you can choose the name with '?',too.but maybe this is too commenplace for you .christine and tina are my favourite english name.i hope you can have a nice name.

Hmmm, its a hard thing to do, choosing a name. If i had to choose another name for myself, I'd probably steal my favourite singers name, which is Gerard :P It all comes down to what you think is good or suits you. Im sure you'll figure one out :)
