So, i have come to a point in my life where I have to chose what kind of path i need to go down to have a happy life(as happy as possible anyways). I've thought about schooling, apprenticeships and finally the Military. schooling? no I hate classes.(and the cost) Apprenticeships? Meh... pays very low off the start, theres still some schooling I need to pay and the jobs around here are pretty limited. So... The Military?I did a lot of research, I'm also going to a recruitment place tomorrow to get some more info. So far, the pay is good, the life is interestingly fun, but the basic training seems rough. But from some friends on the inside, I was told thats the hardest part. After that it's pretty mellow. I figured I would do basic then get into vehicle mechanic. I like cars and such and it's a pretty laid back job sometimes(got some friends that do that too) so I'll be able to learn about fixin' cars/trucks wile getting payed well, fed well, and a damn good pension. Still thinking it all over though. What would you do? Also what kind of Career in the Military would you like to learn?

I never really thought about the Canadian military. I wonder how it differs, from a training standpoint, from the U.S. military.
