Mylot is sometimes slow!

Sometimes when I get on MyLot it takes forever to go from one section to another. For instance, I will click on today's hot topics and the pc seems to freeze for a few seconds. I get impatient as it doesn't do it on other websites and this causes me to go on to something else, therefore, not posting anything. Have other people noticed this slowdown or am I getting on when everyone is trying to post?

Ive never had a problem going from one section to the other on Mylot. Infact its quite fast. I think maybe the problem could be with your net connection and not this website. Do the other sites open with ease or are you ahving trouble with them as well? If the problem is with other sites too, you can get your service provider to check it out.

It may very well be your connection speed, or the quality of your computer or, if the stars are aligned in just such a way, a clever combination of the two.

Yes i have the same problem it seems to be worse when you are downloading something else,and a big problem is when you have used up your GB for the month,its bloody awful,im the same as you i get impatient. so i suppose we will have to grin and bear it,good luck.

I suspect you probably have dial up connection.
Dial up is slow due to the amount of graphics here.
I have dial up and mylot loads really slow for me a lot of times.
Also realize how many people may be on at one time too.
Various things will make any site run slow.
Bear with it and post away is all I can say.

Yes, I agree, mylot takes such a long time to run. I just have 2 tabs of mylot up so when one tab is downloading, I can be working on the other tab, I am always busy.

I have dsl, so I know it is sometimes mylots. I've noticed it also. Hitting submit to post a response sometimes takes forever. I don't know what it is, but it does get aggravating sometimes.

Yes. i noticed that too. and it does drive me crazy somtimes, because i usually have a busy day, and i know that i have only one hour in the morning and another one at night. and if mylot i very slow, i do not get to respond to many discussions as i like. and that is a pitty, because alote of discussions here do interest me. i really think that mylot is aware of that, and trying to solve this problem naty, and i hope it will happen soon.

yes i agree,but not always.most of the time its fast.i most of the time dont feel so but some time its really slow

it depends on the server. if the server is slow then whichever websites you open it will take a lot of time to get open....

yes i saw that to some times got so slow and bored and some times got so high and so exciting

it doesnt take me too long to get from one section to another. i have dsl so it is fast. the only time i notice a slowdown is when i post a response. sometimes i think that something is wrong with my computer but if i wait for a few seconds more, the response will end up posting.
