hi friends, this is my first post in ages!! well i was just wondering if Federer, who obviously is one of the best tennis players ever, will lose his #1 ranking this season. He los many points in Indian Wells and Key Biscayne, and now the clay period is coming, with tournaments like rome, Barcelona, Montecarlo and of course Roland Garros, where his rivals, especially Nadal, will be able to get more points than him. I know it's very difficult that it happens but do you think it's possible? i don't see Federer is so untouchable this year as he was in the past 2 or 3. Anyway what is sure is that we will have lots of fun!

well, if you take a look at the ranking points, you'll see federer is like way above the all, be it nadal or anybody else. so even a loss or perhaps two wouldn't actually make a difference, and anyway federer has gotten much better even on the clay courts, he reached the final of the rolland garros the last year. yeah he did lose twice in just two weeks to canas, but i am sure he's gonna learn from his mistakes and take it way too much seriously when it comes to a grand slam, especially roland garros, which is the only grand slam that eludes him. so as per me, federer atleast until 2207, is gonna be staying at the top yet again.

Yeah, i am with you, i doubt that he will lose number one at least this season. The only chance i can see of him losing it is that he got eliminated in a previous Wimbledon round, because he defends many many points there, but obviously who is going to beat him in grass?

I don't think so one would be at the top of ATP instead of Federer. He will again win rest of all grand slam tournaments this year.Nadal,Roddick and other will challende for 2nd seed I think.Federer may slown down but not stopped.
