I like the books with pictures more as it somewhat maintains the interest and does not get boring at all . I cant read novels with no photos , actually i do read but it gets boring and i stop in between , I like the good illustrated books and also the artists have a definite style going around the book and every artist has a unique way to sketch .Actually I am myself into sketching and painting that why i like it more .

well said.. but i think if you want novels with pictures, you better go for graphic novels.

Both have their place. When I'm reading a comic book, I prefer minimal dialogue. If I'm reading a novel, I could care less if there are illustrations. Of course, most fantasy novels have a map of the fantasy world on the first few pages. I think this is a trend started by J R R Tolkien.

I'm like a kid, I want see lots of pictures, however it's nice to have both. Some pictures give a better detail than words could ever describe but there are some scenes that you have to really describe in order for you to get the detail. But I think more words would be better for my imagination since I could just picture it any way I like.

I like both but of course the pictures are more eye-catching though the text matters most to me.

When i am reading i prefer the text more. Although if the text isnt very good at explaining something, its harder for me to get a visual image. If this occurs i would also like a picture or some kind of image to view, just so that i get the full picture. As they say, a picture is worth a thousands words, though this only explains what is happening in the picture, not what caused the stuff in the picture to happen. Thats why i think the text is the most important bit.

More text, definitely! I don't know why, I just love reading words. It's not that I don't like reading comics, but once I lend a whole series of the comic that I like very much to one of my friends, he told me that was the collection of comics with most words written on he ever read! And my preference on words doesn't just limited to books, when I visit a forum, I tend to read threads with more responses, so that I could spend much time reading!
