Credit Ratings

Does anyone know how much of a difference it makes to your credit rating if you go over your credit card limit by £4? The reason I ask is because I have only recently sorted out my credit rating and now have gone over my credit card limit and am worried.

It's genereally all to do with the amount of payments you have missed and not about going over as long as you opay it. http://www.joincreditexpert.com/freecreditreport/?sc=410032&bcd=experiancreditex3jan And you can access your credit report for free but they have to send you out a pin number through the mail to confirm it is you. Don't worry about it too much and the most important thing is tha tyou dont apply for too much credit within 12 months as this all shows up.

No it doesn't. I have before just like you and as long as you a) make sure you pay the bill on time, b) verify that companies stop charging each month so you can pay the bill and/or c) pay the bill down so you are under their limit you will be okay. You may want to pay 100 GBP so you are under the limit again. The main things they put on your credit school if you miss a payment, if you don't pay your bill or your bills are sent to a collection agency. Have a nice day. Pablo
