Knee jerk reactions never helped anybody. It's such reactions that have led to the sorry state of affairs that prevail in our country when it comes to sports. We have to stick by our sportsmen through thick and thin and not just when they are performing well. Take for instance the Sri Lankan team. When they started, they were ever worser than Bangladesh were when they started, but they were able to improve only because of the faith that their fans reposed in them. Now even Bangla fans and supporting their team and you can see the results. Marvan Attapattu, one of their most prolific scores and consistent batsman had the most horrendous debut series against India, scoring five ducks in the tournament and a 10, but still he was persisted with. Had it happened to an upcoming Indian batsmen, the media would have cried foul and he would have never been given another opportunity. We have to be more realistic about our expectations, especially from newcomers. When we don't have newcomers, we will have to depend on the seniors, whether they are in form or otherwise, and that is the bigger problem that we are facing.

thats very well said that one as to stick with thin or the thick with our country but this i think only applied when we have to face any stronge team like australia right. but lossing with the team like bangladesh in a world cup is not an ascuse and then performing with a more weeker team like burmuda is ok but they should have prove with sri lanka i think and we have many youngsters to opt for but in our country were there is politicions dominent there is no choice. think abt it

this is true that we expected them to win the world cup & they could not even qualify for the super8. but friend sometimes it happens that at the right time all things go against u. sometimes luck doesn't favour.but yet indian team must take the blame & shuld bring professionalism in there approach so that they don't have to come up with excuses.

yes i agree with u that many times it happen that every thing will go wrong but here it was not the case they had one chance with srilanka but they were not able to cope up with that. generally no one get this kind of oppertunity but they have and failed in their test this shows haw our management is and ability of our players right?

Nothing more than what it was shown on television, like making them drive on donkeys, burn their effigies, and burning their posters like seen on television, they have done representing me and millions of other cricket fans.

i really feel thats its time to kick some buts of indian cricketers!!! yep u heard me right!!! im sure thats the way most of you think. if not atleast thats the way i think! i really hate to hear habibul bashar bragging away on how his team defeated india and SA. i still cant get over the fact that the bcci are going to pay the team 1.5 crores for a test series win!!! i really donot feel that its worth it.

I still respect them for all the things they have done till now to the team. But the amount ofrespect I was giving to each one of them especially the senior players has drastically come down after India's early exit from the cup campaign.I think we all should respect them all for what ever thay have done till now to the team but should at the same time be the criticiser if the team when they are in such situation so that they will learn somethign from all these kinds of unforgettable losses and win next ones...

According to my view, no need to give any respect to those guyz..... because here in India we pray for cricket but thr is no sincereity & dedication to those ppl... a serious action should be taken on them to get rid this kind of activities.....thz guyz r showing more interest on adds and publicity, but if u play well then obviously everyone will appreciate u. The main reason behind the failure of our men in blue in WC is media... it is this who made them as demmy gods and increased ppls expectations on them, first of all this should be avoided. When u compare with other teams like Australia, though they have won WC consequently they have no publicity like our men in blue.So I hope if u avoid this Indain team can reach atleast to our normal expectations...
