There are somedays that ideas for a post just come pouring through and they are so fast that I find it difficult to hold on to, and then there are many many days where I just for the life of me not think of any topics to post. I listlissly browse through other discussions and cant even think up responses to the posts. What do you do for inspiration in such situations? All posts will be rated

Well, I'm very new to mylot. I just joined last night. But for me, I would write the ideas down. Keep a list going that I can choose from when I need an idea or two and cannot think of one. IT could be hearing a conversation or seeing something that triggers "oh hey, I could use that topic on mylot". Then if they are written down you do not have to rely on your brain to remember all of the topics. Now if you lose the paper you wrote them on, you're in trouble. =) As far as not being able to think up responses...that's going to happen. We may not always have something to say to other peoples' posts. But it's also sometimes just a matter of getting in the right mind set to be able to put our thoughts into words. We're always going to have bad days where we can't think straight.

Thank you. It's a name I carried over from a blog I have. I don't remember how it came about so I just used it here as well. Thank you for marking me as the best response. That's quite an honor being so new around here. I guess I just like to talk and give advice as well as receive advice, so myLot was the perfect place for me. I'm glad you liked my idea and I hope it really helps you out. I think I will even take my own advice and use it. hehe

You are so right sometimes I can't post a thing. I call it postblock. It has to do with something in the brain as I feel my brain just isn't functioning on those days. LOL

I too have trouble thinking up good discussions. But my problem is that I cannot really get the time to think.Having a pestering 3 yr old at home, always wanting something or the other, does not help.My discussions are usually spur of the moment discussions or sometimes,if they have been bugging me for a long time.Mostly I post discussions related to things I face in day to day life.Otherwise,I am happy to respond to other discussions.sometimes I find that the discussion I want to post has already been posted by another person. In that case,I read the responses to that and contribute if I can.Usually I like to respond because it is easier to have a certain situation to which you can respond.I really think very hard, but the limited life I live as a stay at home mom with a preschooler at my knees all the time, does not give me a chance to think up good discussions.Maybe when she goes to school fuul time,I will be able to post more discussions.:)

Its tough being a mother and trying to balance other things and chores at the same time and I will say this with complete honesty. Try as he might no man will be able to do all that a woman does day after day after day with unflagging energy. I feel ashamed that I cannot do more posting when I dont have these challenges. I take you as an inspiration and now I resolve to post at least 3 responses or discussions daily. Thank you for sharing.
