Vista is horrible. I had to reset everything to Windows Classic to just get around. I hate the default security settings and IE7 makes me furious. Good luck with your new nightmare.

You may have some spyware loaded on your computer. There's a wonderful spyware detection/removal tool out there, and it's free! It's called AdWare and you can download it from: http://www.lavasoft.com/

I persoanally have never heard of Broken Links. When I got my new computer and hooked everything and plugged it in I was ready to go. I then about 1 year ago got a trojan virus. It was the SBC or AT&t now that I got in touch with and they determined it was a virus and hooked me up to some guy in INDIA, literally INDIA and he told me what to do and wiped my computer of all information and reinstalled all my computers information from (INDIA) (it trips me out how my computer in the USA can be completely fixed by someone so far away as India) anyway once it was restored to it's origional state he told me to slowly put the information I wanted back on it. I did and it has been working wonderfully since. In my opinion I would put it back in the box and take it back to were you got it for a refund. There is a default some where and there is no sense of you keeping something that you will always have problems with due to manufacture defect or what ever. I got a Hewlett-Packard computer with Windows xp. It is the best computer I have had. That is my opinion. To keep something that cost what a computer cost and for it to say there is something broken in it right from the start is bad news. I would also look into getting the best anti-virus you can get. Good-luck. Kaycees world
