Celebrities adopting babies

We all know that celebrities especially Hollywood ones adopt babies from some third world country and hope to give them a better life. Do you guys think it is a good idea that celebrities are doing this....coz I just think this is just another publicity stunt...

ya the celebs do need some publicity now and then ...but i feel that they do adopt the childs genuinly ....and for parenting....or just for a change!!!!!!!!

Adopting a child should not be the same as adopting a cute little puppy. Because the celebs have lots of money they are accustomed to getting what they want....so what happens when the cuteness wears off, or the novelty? I tend to agree with you in that I fear this is motivated by a "Look at me" "See what good I am doing" public relations ploy. I sincerely hope that they would be held to the same criteria as the average joe, but somehow think that the "almighty" dollar wipes clean any slate. If they have money it is thought, they can provide all the child needs... but what about real stability, love, security, faith, etc?
I hope we are wrong in our suspiscions.

Yeah that's true.the kids may have more money but they probably won't be able to enjoy the real concept of family I guess........

In all honesty, I think it's wonderful, even if the celebrity is doing it mainly for their own image. Just think of how much better that child's life will be once they've been adopted. More power to them!
