The LANGUAGE you use in communicating with your children

Have you ever thought about the language you use to communicate with children ? WORDS ..they are tied to our feelings and emotions. We have all had times when we couldn't believe the things we've said to our kids. Most parents have blurted out something like , " you will never learn !" OR , "stop crying ! just stop it !" NOW ! We wonder how these things we swore we'd never say to our kids - that we hated our parents for saying to us - come out of our own mouths . LANGUAGE ..it is an autobiography of our mind. So,let us practice non-violence in our language. Language is a gift from GOD. Let us use it judiciously .

I have always believed that you should speak to a child as you would to another adult. There's no reason for baby talk. There's no reason to condescend them.
