You know working out will eventually make you feel better. The problem is the day after usually leaves you feeling less than stellar. Don't let post workout soreness prevent you from a second workout. Instead, battle the aches and pains by popping a vitamin E pill. According to a recent study, the antioxidant helps protect muscles, reducing soreness on the following day. Those who lifted and took 1,200 IU of the vitamin every day experienced less immediate muscle
damage and recovered more quickly

The vitamin E is the most benefacting vitamin, next to the B series like B6 and B12, since it lessens the lactic acid caused by a workout the day before and helps the muscles re-uptake the necessary enzymatic processes used to strengthen and tone, usually noticed after the third or fourth week of continued exercise.
I work out three to four times a week and stretch every night before bedtime just to keep supple and oxygen-rich !

That is some good information to know. I have been going to the gym regularly and have been very careful to not work myself into misery. There have been many days I woke up expecting to be sore and stiff but have felt fine. Now I am wondering if my energy drink is loaded with vitamin E or if all that chicken I am eating is doing the trick. Either way, it is working!

If you eat chicken it has creatine in it and that is what the muscle builders use from a bottle to help repair and build muscles and that is what you are doing by working out. So chicken and vegetables are good for you on a couple of levels when you are working out. Good luck with your work outs!!

To minimize post-workout soreness, make sure you incorporate a warm-up phase before you exercise, and a cool-down phase afterwards. These involve stretching and low-intensity exercise. Gradually increase the intensity, then gradually decrease afterwards.

During the three years I was going to physical therapy they alway put ice on my muscles after I would work out. They said it was to cool the muscles back down after they got hot from working out. The ice alway seemed to stiffen me up but then I would not hurt as much and was ready for the next days workout. Also they always had me work different muscle groups so I did not work the same group two days in a row. I wish I knew about the vitamine e back then. Thanks for the information.

Hi Kathy, I'm not really a big work out fan, but do you think this will cure sore legs after a shopping trip too? I'm certainly going to give it a try. BTW I've put up some money spells for discussion if you're interested! Brightest Blessings!
