Trying the herbal and natural route to fight Fibro...

Last week I was planning on being a part of a Trial Drug Study for Milacipran. The study was to see if the drug is effective in raising the pain threshold of Fibro patients (also to become FDA approved). Starting Sunday night I started to have muscle spasms in my back, which worsened Monday and became incredibly intense and excruciatingly painful yesterday. I wasn't going to take a muscle relaxer as I was supposed to go in this morning for blood testing for the Clinical Trial. Last night I realized that a trial where I may or may not get the drug is not going to help me. I called the clinic, said thanks but no thanks, and this morning I have been researching any and all possible herbal/home/overthecounter remedies for FMS. I started to take Guaifenisen about six months ago and did not think that I was seeing any results. My plan now is to continue with Guafenisen (OTC, under names like Guai-Aid), continue with liquid Aloe (for IBS and to help with my food allergies), begin continuously taking a natural Glucosamine, begin taking a supplement called Fibro-Response (for the muscle pain), and Probiotic Acidophilus (for IBS, good microbes in my GI tract, etc.). I will most likely change and add to these supplements as I learn more and I see what does and doesn't work for me. Does anyone else have any suggestions as to natural remedies that have helped you with any or all of your Fibro symptoms? --I'm doing my best to avoid Tricyclics and anti-depressants!

Well, all I can tell you is that I am taking a natural liquid supplement called Vemma, recommended to me for my daily painful migraines and low energy. Well, this product did the trick for me, no more migraines. I hear prople are getting good resuls from it as it's full of minerals and have all the vitamins in it. I can send you a link on testimonials, if interested, and on the product. Let me know. aaamie1@yahoo.com
