Did you know that if you leave your mobile phone charger plugged in when your not using it, it wastes almost as much electricity as when your charging your phone?
Mobile phone chargers unnecessarily plugged in waste almost $90m of energy and 200 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year.
The same goes for any electrical appliance that gets hot or still has a light on when plugged in, but is not being used.
So do you leave your charger plugged in?? Do you forget to unplug it?

I leave it plugged in sometimes. Thankfully I don't pay electric, its free on base. But even so I dont like to waste electricity, so I'll have to remember that! Usually the only reason I leave it plugged in is because I forget about it and move on!

I do know that electricity is wasted but I do wonder if sockets that are not switched off have the same effect?

I know that it isn't good for nature but my mobile phone stays plugged in always. It is cause it is plugged behind my bed so I could put in on my nighttable to wake me up every morning. I don't have will to unplug and plug in it 2 times a day. I am very lazy, I know. But i save energy in some different ways. I return all kind of bottels, paper and that kind of staff.

I used to leave things plugged in all the time but after receiving a very high electricity bill one time, i made a change. Everything gets turned off or unplugged when not in use.
You would be surprised at how much you save just by unplugged a few plugs. More money to spend on myself. lol
