How long did the actual process of you goin out to buy a new car take you? Did you get a loan from someplace other then the car dealership?
I am just wondering. As most on my friend list know we are hoping to get a new car this spring time frame. So wanted to hear your experiences on finding a new car.

When I bought my new car back in 93, I think it took me about a week to two weeks. They had to add the options that I wanted back then into it and wait for delivery. I did get a auto loan through my bank but that did not take very long, maybe a few days at the most. i did not have any problems with getting a new car and hope you have no trouble either and that you like whatever car you purchase.

We know we'll have no problem getting the loan and plan on going through either one of our banks or credit union or Costco. Its just that process and especially since we aren't fully sure what kind of car we want. I have one that I'd like, well two, but Jason seems to be all over on what he thinks would be okay.
Hey I think...isn't this suppose to be mainly MY car?? lol
thank you for responding!! :)

Well we bought a new car a couple of years ago. My sister had gotten a settlement so she was able to pay cash for it and we didn't have to get financing. I would suggest though if you do need financing to check around with a few different places to get the best deal for you.
We got a Tuscan Hyundia and we love it. We needed something that was higher off the ground due to the weather here (streets flood horribly) and do to medical conditions. We also needed the room for a walker and this has it. It has a lot of nice features to it. Before we bought though we checked out all the SUV's in our price range and even a few that weren't at different dealers. We kept going back to the Tuscan because it was the most comfortable, had the most features, and the best price. Overall we looked at the different ones over a month or so. Once we decided and we had the money we just went and got it. A few hours time and we had it in our name. The salasman was very helpful and great. Which is more then I can say for some of the dealers. Some where very pushy and not very friendly. Hyundai salesman always were.
Good luck in finding a car for you.

I've always found "most" salsmen overly pushy and in your face. Just because that is how they earn their money is through selling you that car. But wouldn't you think that them being nicer and a little less pushy they'd get more sales? I don't know. lol That's the part I am dreading the most. I already hate going into stores and salespeople attack you right away. Like go away already. lol
Thank you for responding :)

I have had a few new cars, when I first brought my new car I put 3 thousand dollars down on it. because my credit wasn't good.
