Ok, here's installment 4 of my ClixSense experiences to date. If you've been interested in ClixSense or if you're already a member considering the upgrade, I want to give you some information to consider before you do so. Maybe you can learn from my mistakes and share your experiences in what to prepare for too.
If you haven't seen my previous discussions about ClixSense yet, I would encourage you to view them in order so you can see how this discussion has been evolving as we share our experiences of this new PTC site.

Ok, first I need to admit that I seriously underestimated PayPal and the speed that payments made thru them are confirmed. I had looked up the time required for an upgrade to become effective and according to the FAQ section, I was anticipating my account being activated as early as the next morning but surely no later than 48 hours.
My mistake was in upgrading at 12:30am, thinking it would be ok to make this my last activity before going to bed. Boy was I wrong! If you upgrade by paypal, the upgrade is almost immediate! Because I was a little nervous about the 506 clicks that now showed as being available for me to click, disappearing before I woke up & therefore wasting most of my upgraded earnings, ...I did all the clicks! Talk about a ClixSense hangover today though, Whew!
Anyway, I've usually been up to a challenge of this magnitude, so I decided to get the first days clicks done & kept some detailed notes to pass along in case they help you in being better prepared than I was.
Ok, before the upgrade my account balance was at $0.92 since I have just received my first payout from them. I used these earnings to upgrade my account for the whole year and these are my day 1 findings.
Of the 525 clicks I have been hearing about, I became qualified to see 506 "web commercials" as they like to call them. There was one for 7 cents, 1 for 6 cents, two for 3 cents, two for 2 cents and the remaining 500 clicks were for 1 cent each. According to my calculations that should mean I should be able to earn an extra $5.21 to my account if I got all the clix before they expired (after reaching the number of clix the advertisers had paid for).
At 30 seconds per clix, I roughly calculated that it would probably take just over 4 hours of straight clicking, at best, to get them all. This wasn't very good timing since that would mean I'd still be clicking when hubby got up for work just after 4:30am.
The first few hours were kind of fun since I was seeing some sites I had never seen before and many of them I actually did bookmark for later review, but I was still trying to finish before hubby woke up. Shortly before 4am I checked my stats and saw I still had almost 300 clix to go. Though I knew I couldn't reach the end with less than an hour to go, I decided to test one of my theories about the ebb & flow of clix and decided to enjoy an hour with hubby and even packed his lunchbox with both breakfast & lunch today.
By 530am, I was back to clicking with 213 clix left to go and an updated balance reflecting $4.01, hmmmm, there was an extra 1 cent in the calculations now. During my 1 hour break, I am pretty sure I did lose a few of the available clix, but it also seems as though there were new "regular" clix added too so it somewhat balanced out. I did notice there were more new clix added at 9am and again at 945am so they do seem to be added during the day more so than at night.
By the time I finally reached the last clix, my new balance was $6.19, so I had earned $5.27 during the 8+ hours it took to click them all. My test showed me that while you can lose some clix if it takes you too long to get thru this BIG list of clix, it would be much better to upgrade when you can really take the time to get the most out of your upgrade.
After spending the night clicking so many clix, I didn't even want to check for more clix until after 2pm today and found only 3 which is much more like the 5 minute or less task I'd enjoyed as a free member. If I do get more clicks each day on "regular" days, I'll happily pass along the info, so you'll know when I know.
I would encourage you to share your experiences with clixsense (free or upgraded) too so we can all learn more and do well with this fun site. :)
Ok, well I've taken a small nap & it's time to go get my vacation photos from CVS. I hope you'll find this discussion useful. :)

I have to congratulate you on your very thorough post. I am a member of clixsense and upgraded some time ago. I have now made over $35 but am waiting to earn a little more before I cash out because of the bank charges when cashing a cheque in US dollars. I do wish that they would pay out using paypal but that just isn't an option yet. At least they are allowing paypal to upgrade - that is something i suppose.

I am not absolutely sure - would have to check with my bank - but I think it is something like £4 or £5 for each cheque cashed. Don't know anything about bank wire - never used it - but I think it is a lot more expensive than cashing a cheque in the UK.

As usual paidreader has opened a very useful discussion. I am also a member of clixsense but not upgraded. I think for international members getting paid is very expensive and hazardious.
However I learned many things from this dicussion. Benefits of getting upgraded in that site, about the bottle necks in getting cash, and many more things are exposed during this discussion.
Those who wish to make money online can consider the multiple income idea. Weare all trying to do that. Many tips are available in this thread which certainly are useful to us.
