Hi Afreddy, I'm not quite sure I understand what your goal is. Do you want to build yourself a faster computer for the sake of having built it yourself? Or is your computer sluggish? Or do you really think that a P4 processor, and a total combined memory of 60gig is outmoded? Well, if your resources are still 80-90% free, then I would not build a new computer. I would just up the sd or ddr or whatever memory you have. I don't know if you have (2)256 mb memory cards or (1) 512mb memory card. In either case, the best way to speed up your processing is just to add more memory. Geesh, P4s are not yet obsolete. So, you might want to consider the memory upgrade and check your graphics accelerator. If you're doing alot of gaming or are perusing heavy graphics sites, your accelerator could use an upgrade. Oh, and do make sure that your drivers are current, and that you're performing your regular maintenance to avoid sluggishness.

I have copied all your suggestions and emailsed it to my self. I think I have to do a check if all is well with the hardware before an upgrade. I will also reinstall my OS and other software. Thanks again :@)

Oh, and one more Key point about memory upgrading. All memory is NOT equal. If you already have (1)512 memory card, and wish to upgrade to (2)512 cards, make sure you purchase exactly the same type of memory. Not necessarilly the same brand, but the same type. Make sure that the letters designating the type of memory match. For example: SD, DDR, etc...
