why do people insist on injecting their religious views into discussions

then get rude when you don't agree with them. When the question isn't about religion, keep yours out of it!

I noticed this in different discussions but usually just don't pay any attention to it as some people are so strong in their religion that I am not sure they even see themsevles as being rude . I believe in God but don't feel the need to push any of my views on anyone else as I feel we are all entitled to our own beliefs but for some reason others feel they have to push their views to make them a good person . Try not to let it bother you and just move on to somehthing else . There are many different discussions on here that will irritate other's but if we let them all get to us , it would make this site much less enjoyable . Take Care :)

Judy - some people just have religion as a major part of their lives, it is part of every question they view. I do think they should not judge & get rude if others don't agree with them, but we can't control them. I feel some questions can have a religious take on them, but I don't think anyone can say I've gotten rude if someone has gone religious.

If that is true, I feel sorry for you, since you have no imagination.

Giving responses based on your faith is not a bad thing if that is all you have to offer. Saying "God says . . ." every sentence is overkill and makes you sound like you're trying to convert people, AND most of all, that you feel that you have the only right answers, which is very arrogant and prideful. It really depends on your approach. There's no reason you can't say, "I believe . . ." without having to bring God or the bible into it. We want to hear your opinions, not your catechism! I respect EVERYONE's right to freedom of religion, but that doesn't mean I want to be dunned by it -- unless we're in the "religion" section. That's where it belongs. Peace and Light to you!

Like the first person said, that's how they live. I am religious, but it's more like my set of morals and it isn't everything that comes out of my mouth. But if they get rude if you don't agree, well that means they have a small mind. I know that others won't share the same views, that's great because I think others could agree it would be scary if everyone was just like me ;)
