Do You Think the Shroud of Turin is Real?

What are your opinions of the Shroud of Turin? Do you think it was the actual burial cloth of Jesus? I used to think that there might be a possibility of this until my pastor mentioned it Sunday in his sermon. He also spoke about it tonight. He said that Jesus was buried in the normal tradition of his country during that time and that his face and shoulders were left open. There was a turbin about his head but his face wasn't covered. My pastor always does a lot of research about the subjects he preaches on so I think now that this couldn't be the burial cloth of Jesus.

I was always taught in school that the shroud was Jesus' burial cloth. But in the decades since then, science has made many advances and scholars have begun to question it. One argument I have heard is that Jesus was buried with a cloth over his face and a second cloth, or shroud, for the rest of his body. I also understand there is some question about the methods used to date the cloth. So I too am having some doubts about whether it is the actual shroud of Jesus.

I have heard questions about the methods of dating also but that was several years ago. It has just been over the weekend that I started thinking more about it after my pastor's sermon. That was when I decided to start this discussion. Thanks for your response!!
